Woodmere Launches 2nd Lincoln China!
In 1864, after President Lincoln won a second term in office, Mrs. Lincoln indulged again her penchant for fashionable dinnerware with her purchase of a buff-bordered design from the Philadelphia firm of J. K. Kerr. In addition to the buff border, this French porcelain was gilded at the edge and had a gold circle in the center, which was fashionable at the time.
Two months later, President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated and, therefore, the new china saw very little usage. The bill for this new china purchase remained unpaid until August of 1865 when it was settled and signed for by The White House.
Woodmere's new Lincoln china is ready and available for immediate shipment.

Woodmere's White House Collection Grows Again! This time it's President Millard Fillmore!
Woodmere is excited to announce the introduction of its fifteenth presidential reproduction china with the launch of the china from President Millard Fillmore, adding to its ever popular White House Collection. "The Fillmore china represents a nice compliment to our existing presidential designs,' says Woodmere's David Turner. "It is less armorial looking and showing more of the Fillmores' personal tastes."
Thrust into The White House unexpectedly, some said at the time that Millard Fillmore "looks more of a President than Taylor". The handsome Fillmore and his wife Abigail took up residence in The White House in a quiet, unostentatious manner, bringing many of their family belongings with them. This beautiful green-bordered design is thought to be part of the Fillmore family china. Highlighted by a brightly painted bird in a fine floral bouquet, this design's green border is encased in gold all of which is hand decorated.
Like all the designs in Woodmere's White House Collection, the Fillmore china has 15 items available in the range and is available for shipment.
